HOW WE BEGAN:
My passion for photography began in a high school photography class and has continued to grow ever since. It has also been a bit contagious as my husband has also recently taken up a bit of an interest. With the advancement of technology (the internet and digital photography), it has become possible for me to share our photos with you.

OUR PURPOSE:
To share a bit of the beauty we see with those who are interested. Photography isn’t meant to be kept only to the photographer…it is enjoyed most when shared with others.

OUR HOPES:
That others will enjoy our photos as well, and possibly like them enough to purchase and frame them for themselves or others as gifts. Photography is the art of capturing the beauty around us and is most enjoyed when it is displayed within view.

There is beauty all around us no matter where one lives. The question is whether or not one sees it. I think the thing that draws me to a love of photography the most is that it helps me to see the beauty in things all around me that I might not ordinarily take the time to see. Everyone sees the beauty in a sunset, a flower, or a beautiful scenic picture of mountains and a lake. But what about the beauty of the delicate winter frost seen up close on pine needles or an ordinary section of barbed wire fencing? How about a lonely tree captured against a backdrop of fog? Maybe an old outhouse still standing that represents another era? Or the personality of a shy horse hiding behind a fence rail? These are the things I find interesting. I enjoy taking many different kinds of photos, but what I really like most is taking my camera and looking for the things that someone else might not even notice until it’s captured in a photo.

Here at Bear Ridge Gifts & Photography, you will find many “Handmade Treasures” items made in Montana. Most of these items are made by myself, but occasionally there will be some that are made by other family members as well. I have always enjoyed making things and take great care in the things I make. I have often been labeled by others as a perfectionist when it comes to the things I make, and if something isn’t good enough for me then I don’t believe it’s good enough to sell or give as a gift either. Therefore, you can expect quality handmade when purchasing a “Handmade Treasures” gift....satisfaction guaranteed.

We enjoy photographing the beauty we see around us and sharing it with others. Here you will find prints ready for matting and framing as you like, already matted and framed prints ready for hanging or gift-giving, and also wonderful photo cards great for sending a note or for any occasion whatsoever. More items to come in time. Note: I've only got a small portion of our photos listed so far...many more to be listed soon!

Payment methods accepted: Paypal. We also accept US Postal money orders from time to time, but appreciate you arranging this with us prior to purchasing.

-SHIPPING-
To keep things simple and hassle-free for your shopping convenience, shipping is a flat rate of $2.50 for ALL orders regardless of number of items purchased (for shipping within the US, including Alaska and Hawaii). Packages weighing less than 13 ounces will be shipped via First Class Mail. Packages exceeding 13 ounces in weight will be shipped via Priority Mail. We generally ship within 1-2 days of receiving cleared payment, excluding weekends & holidays. Please note: We do not ship outside of the USA because we use delivery confirmation on all of our packages and this is not available on international shipments. (*There is no shipping charge for logos and banners, as they will be delivered via email. International customers may purchase logos and banners since no shipping is involved, but payment must be in US dollars.)
